South View from Raven's Nest, Acadia National Park, August 2014
Ink wash on polypropylene, 11" x 13"

The Raven's Nest is a well-kept secret on the Schoodic Peninsula, and
not featured on any of the park maps. The sheer cliffs make for a significant drop,
and the trails hug the edge quite closely. Probably my favorite piece from the residency,
this polyproylene wash was completed as the setting sun illuminated the cliffs.
A bald eagle remained perched on a nearby tree for the three-hour duration of the drawing.
A pretty special moment.
